     How to Make Money With Pay-Per-Lead Programs

 

Back in the early days, most affiliate programs paid per click or per impression. Then mainstream businesses began to offer revenue sharing programs in which affiliates received a commission on each sale they generated. Today, more and more companies are offering pay-per-lead programs. Pay-per-lead programs are a favorite of many affiliates because there is no selling involved. They get paid for getting people to provide their contact information in exchange for free quotes, newsletters or other items that they do not have to pay for. The companies then use these leads in an attempt to generate sales. Some affiliates make the majority of their commissions from pay-per-lead programs. Read on to learn how to make money with pay-per-lead programs.

Instructions
1. Find pay-per-lead programs that relate well to your website or ezine. Many affiliate networks offer pay-per-lead programs from a variety of merchants. See the Resources section for links to some of them. You can also search for independently managed pay-per-lead programs.

2. Determine what type of links would be best for your website or ezine. Text links are good if you want to incorporate the program into articles or information products, or if you produce a text-only ezine. Graphic ads work well in sidebars, headers, or footers of websites, blogs and HTML ezines.

3. Add your affiliate links to appropriate areas of your site, or in the ad section of your ezine.

4. Promote your website or ezine. There are many ways that you can promote for free. You could also use paid advertising, or pay-per-click programs. Just be sure to monitor your programs carefully to ensure that you are making a profit with them.

5. Invest some of the money you make from pay-per-lead programs to promote new programs. Highly focused sites are well suited to affiliate programs, including pay-per-lead. Creating them in profitable niches could bring great profits.
